Meet the Board

Lewis L. McKinney, Jr., President

Lewis L. McKinney Jr. retired from corporate America as Vice President of Industry and Government Affairs in 2010. A staunch supporter of civic and charitable organizations, Mr. McKinney has served or is currently serving on several boards: The St. Louis Airport Commission, Bi-State Transportation Commission, St. Louis University School of Arts & Sciences Executive Advisory Board, and the Monsanto YMCA and Queen of Peace Center.

Michael McKinney, Vice President

Michael McKinney currently serves as a Mail Service Supervisor for the City of St. Louis. Prior to accepting this position he was a social worker for the Department of Corrections for 20 years.

A product of the St. Louis Public School System and graduated from Central High School. After finishing high school he attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa, IA, where he majored in Sociology and minored in Elementary Art.

Michael and his wife Sandra have two awesome children ages 15 and 10. He is also a member of Fresh Winds Church, and his hobbies include collecting rare coins and sports memborabilia.

Stacy T. McMurray, Secretary

Stacy McMurray currently serves as a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, she worked for INROADS for more than 10 years, an organization that partners with corporations to develop diverse leadership pipelines.

Stacy’s last position with INROADS was Vice President of Operations. In this position, she was responsible for developing and executing organization strategies and tactical approaches to facilitate revenue growth and brand expansion. Stacy was also responsible for overseeing key account management, marketing, sales management and assisting with the development of organizational processes and policies.

Stacy currently serves on the MERS/Goodwill board of Directors and is a Director on the University of Missouri-St. Louis Alumni Governing Board.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a dual major in Marketing, and Management & Organizational Behavior.

Alonzo Byrd

Alonzo Byrd serves as Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs for Enterprise Holdings, which owns and operates Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent-A-Car. He is responsible for the development and execution of corporate citizenship initiatives nationwide. Byrd works closely with senior management to ensure external initiatives are relevant and consistent with company values. He joined Enterprise in May 2002 and works from the company’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis.

Prior to joining Enterprise, Byrd was a Vice Present at Fleishman-Hillard Inc., a leading international public relations agency. During his 15-year career at Fleishman, he managed a wide range of media relations, corporate relations, and diversity-related issues for Fortune 500 clients, including Anheuser-Busch Companies, UPS, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, and AT&T. He also has counseled a number of nonprofit organizations, including the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), the Tiger Woods Foundation, and Paraquad, which assists people with disabilities.

Byrd is married and has one child. He is a 1981 graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Jeffrey Fuesting

Lieutenant Jeffrey Fuesting is currently serves as the Commander for the Division of Patrol, for the City of Jennings. Lieutenant Fuesting started his career in February 1994 as a patrol officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, District 8. In October 1997 he joined the St. Louis County Police Department and was assigned to the Affton Precinct. While in the Affton Precinct he served as a Field Training Officer and as the Precinct Gang Officer. In April 2001, he was reassigned to the Bureau of Special Operations, Community Acton Team.

In May 2010, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to the North County Precinct. In September 2010, he was assigned to the City of Jennings as the Commander overseeing the daily operations.

Born and raised in Effingham, Ill., Lieutenant Fuesting holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College, a graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command Class #357, and a 2010 graduate and member of the FBI-LEEDA. He is a member of the International Association of Chief of Police, FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, Greater St. Louis Law Enforcement Officials Association and board member to the St Louis Initiative to Reduce Violence.

Joseph M. Noelker

Joe Noelker is an attorney in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in 1979; after several years in private practice, he joined the Legal Department of Anheuser-Busch Companies, where he rose to the position of Senior Counsel. In 1996 he managed the spin-off of Anheuser-Busch’s baking interest into Earthgrains, an independent publicly traded company, and joined Earthgrains as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. He also managed the Real Estate, Facilities, Safety, and Environmental departments at Earthgrains up until its sale to the Sara Lee Corporation in 2001, at a price that represented a 535% increase in the value of the company over five years. Since the sale of Earthgrains, he has been in private practice with another attorney in St. Louis, and handles a wide variety of civil legal matters.

Joe has been on the Board of Directors or Board of Trustees of numerous not for profit entities in the St. Louis region including, The Arts an d Education Council of Greater St. Louis, Humane Society of Missouri, The Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity, Fontbonne University, Doorways Community Housing, DeSales Community Housing Authority, and several other organizations.

Joe and his wife Becky have two grown daughters, Madeline and Marisa, and live in Kirkwood, MO.

Reverend Dr. Grant Hughes

Grant Hughes was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He was educated in The St. Louis Public School system graduating from Sumner High School. He studied Psychology at Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, MO. He studied Administration of Justice at The University of Missouri at St. Louis, MO. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Missouri Baptist College in 1994. He earned his Master of Ministry in Christian Behavior in 1996 and Doctoral degree in Ministry in Christian Behavior in 1997 from Anchor Theological Seminary.

The late Dr. E. Stanley Howlette, pastor of The True Light MBC, licensed Dr. Hughes to Preach The Gospel in 1988 and Ordained in 1990. Dr. Hughes served as assistant Pastor from April 1994 – September 1999 at The Bethlehem MBC, St. Louis, MO. Then he served as Pastor of The Bethlehem MBC from September 1999 – December 2013 (14 Years).

Dr. Hughes is certified as a Christian Leadership & Behavior Consultant through the Behavior Excellence Search Training Program (B.E.S.T.). Certificates of Achievement include:

Dr. Hughes serves on several advisory boards including the Dept of Evangelism for The National Baptist, USA, Inc, the Berean District Association of St. Louis, and is a certified class instructor for the Missouri Baptist State Convention in Evangelism.

Dr. Hughes is married to Patricia A. Hughes, has two daughters, Sunnie and Davina Hughes. His passion is winning “The Lost” for The Kingdom, and motto: “for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” ~ Mark 8:36
